Tax season is coming. Once again SILC will offer free tax return completion as part of the VITA program sponsored by the IRS. It will be a "by appointment" service. A schedule will be ready in a couple of weeks. Per the IRS they will not be ready to accept e-file until 1/26/14 at the earliest.

SILC will again be offering Free Tax Preparation. We are a VITA site for the IRS. We use their software and have a a person we can make inquires to for our area.. We will be e-filing as many returns as we can. Actual preparation will begin about Jan 30. They will again be by appointment only. To begin with the days of operation will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 10 am to 3 pm.We will post a notice here when we are ready to accept appointments

Weekend Transportation. Want to get a ride to a ball game? or horseback riding? Reminder that SILC can provide night and weekend transportation to individuals with developmental disabilities who are living with families. Call Helen to arrange a ride at 661-3010.
Our regular Wheelchair transportation operates from 8 am to 4:30 pm each day M-F. Any disability qualifies for a ride. And you do not have to be in a wheelchair.
